This is what all you people sound like who are against the recent rise in sexy concepts in K-Pop.
The whole idea of K-Pop becoming 'overly-sexualized' is an idea that just fucking blows my mind. Since when hasn't K-Pop had it's share of sexy groups? Sure, since the end of last year until now, there has been a slight (extreme) increase in groups performing using sexy concepts. However, so many girls find this to be insanely wrong and 'too sexy' for their liking, and go on to slut-shame and hate on any girl group they find with a video that has even one small suggestion of sexual themes. And I have one thing to say to you:
GROW UP (well, maybe that was two, but anyways...). Most of the hate comments on videos such as Stellar's new song, 'Marionette', come from girls claiming that they came off as 'too trashy' and bash on them for that reason. Guess what guys? I'm a girl as well, and I don't think this way. Not all girls feel the way that this select group of people feel, though people like us are very few. Hell, even GUYS have started to complain that girl groups have become too sexy for them, which blows my fucking mind.
Sure, you may have started watching K-Pop because you found that the music from your country 'only talked about sex and shit', but guess what? Everyone does it. There's bound to be music in all damned languages about sex, drugs, alcohol, and all that fancy stuff, and your whining isn't going to stop that. And if you're so damn bothered by sexy concepts in girl groups, why don't you just go back to your hot oppas and STOP COMPLAINING.
Oh, I get it now, so guys can take off their shirts and wave them around and all you fangirls will be so damn pleased, but the minute that a girl shows even one inch of her skin, you bash on the group as a whole and call them trashy whores. I don't get why tumblr has whole sections dedicated to your oppas' 'bulges' and you eat and digest that shit like crazy, but you get fired up when girls wear miniskirts or cropped tees. Blows my mind, really does.
Really, when will there ever be peace within k-netizens? When their groups act cute, 'too aegyo'. When they act sexy, 'slutty, go back to cute'. And that whole damn cycle repeats itself again and again and hasn't stopped since. The only group I feel hasn't joined this vicious cycle is Crayon Pop, for obvious reasons, and with a name like that I don't see that happening soon.
Well, this was just a long and drawn out rant about stupidity that's going on nowadays in the K-Pop community, and it really makes me wonder where K-Pop is really going nowadays. I expect it to go back to cute aegyo concepts quite soon with the controversy that the whole Marionette thing brought with it (great song by the way).
