A topic that's come up a lot in the K-Pop world, especially on all of 9Muses videos, is how similar they are to SNSD. So,
Dear (many, but not all) Sone,
Get off your fucking high horses and realize that just because both groups have 9 members (well, 9Muses has 7 now, but anyways), doesn't mean that 9Muses did it to copy SNSD. Your unnies aren't the center of the world, no matter how much you may say so. And this article is here to explain to you how stupid you sound.
First things first, why are fans of groups so compelled to think that if somebody does something even slightly similar to their bias group, they stole the idea from them? There are only so many concepts available in this world, and chances are, if you think something, it's been thought before. Just like this post. Something just like it has probably been posted before.
Now, I'll go with the most (and pretty much only) used argument that Sone tend to use against 9Muses. The simple fact that both groups have the same amount of members. Now hold a second while I take some fucks to give about your argument. Oh, wait, that's impossible. You know why? Because your argument is fucking stupid. Why? Because, just because they, by chance, have the same amount of members as your Supreme Group, doesn't mean jackshit. Just because IU and BoA are both solo singers, doesn't mean that IU became solo just to copy BoA. Or, that just because KARA and 4MINUTE have 5 members, that they're copying each other. I purposely picked ridiculously different bands to prove to you a certain point; even though the concept of 9Muses and SNSD are totally different, people still find the need to say that they're oh so similar. Has anybody ever made any of the arguments that I made above? Well, I've never seen any, and if they have, I feel like they should just go and reevaluate what they're doing with their lives.
You see, 9Muses has quite the 'sexy' concept, while SNSD is more skewed and seems to go anywhere from 'aegyo' to I guess you could say 'normal'. However, SNSD has never done an extremely 'sexy' concept. As you can see, the groups have two totally different concepts, so you may wonder, why are Sone so compelled to compare the two? Because they feel that just because there's so many of them, they can do whatever the fuck they want. Or because a lot of them are stupid. Now, this doesn't apply to all Sone, because, believe it or not, I'm one myself (and I'm a Mine as well, exactly while I feel so compelled to write this post). However, it applies to many of them. Many Sone believe that their group is the most important and everyone has to absolutely worship and love them, though they're wrong. Just listen to one of 9Muses' songs and compare it to one of SNSD's songs. I don't think that 'Wild' and 'Gee' have any similarities at all, except for the fact that they have 9 MEMBERS. The same thing about KARA's 'Mister' and 4MINUTE's 'Volume Up'. They have absolutely nothing in common except for the fact that both groups have the same amount of members.
If you're a Sone and reading this, you may start to think; Well, SNSD was created first, thus giving them the full right to claim 9 as their number. You know what I say about that? That's fucking stupid. Just because f(x) made a song named 'Shadow', does that mean that should stop anyone else from making another song named 'Shadow'? Or that because someone made a sad love song, they forever only have the right to make sad love songs? No. That's exactly right. No. And I ask, why must this apply to the number of members a group has, if it doesn't apply to any other area?
I ask you all to reevaluate why exactly you start to judge a group just because they have one thing in common with your 'unnies' and start calling them all sluts because you obviously have no fucking clue what that word means. Your unnies aren't the center of the world. Nobody is. My opinion may not easily change yours, but hopefully it gets you thinking.
